These services are charged at the current NDIS rate for your location - this means that you will not have to pay for any work completed if you have hours available for speech pathology support in your NDIS plan.
Travel charges only apply for face-to-face therapy sessions, with time for travel based on the Modified Monash Model (MMM) that defines whether a location is:
* Metropolitan (MMM 1-3) - up to 30 mins
* Rural (MMM 4-5) - up to 60 mins
* Remote or very remote (MMM 6-7) - as agreed up to the NDIS hourly rate for the support item.
The NDIS allows therapists to charge up to $0.98 per km travelled to deliver therapy services.
Where we travel to provide services, we will always share the costs related to travel (including time and km charges) between multiple participants where this is possible, to reduce the cost for any single person.
Travel charges will always be clearly stated in our service agreement and negotiated with you before we start working together.
