Mealtime Assistance (MTA) training, covering the following topics:
- introduction to the typical and disordered swallow
- basic considerations for positioning at mealtimes for both individuals with swallowing disorders and support staff
- review of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) consistencies
- introduction to mealtime equipment
- practical: food and fluid preparation
- assessment of knowledge outcomes post training
